The world of photography according to Henry Bourne
Joy IV can be translated in two ways: either through
the lens of a Nikon camera capturing nature's
most serene moments or through the lens of a motion
picture camera making films, documentaries or
commercials. In either case, Henry Joy understands
the use of light to translate images on to film,
making magic!
An Interlochen
Arts Academy graduate, Henry began his love of
photography early in life. He was given a camera
at age six by his grandfather and his love of
the art was born. Henry spent the years following
learning how to understand the beauty around him
and the art of putting it on film.

Though photography
continues to be his first love, Henry Joy has also found
happiness in motion pictures, graduating from Brooks
Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinematography. With
live action shorts such as "Sketched for Murder"
and "The Animator" under his his belt, Henry
Joy earned recognition with his documentary "The
Ultimate Jump", which aired on MTV soon after its
release.
Stopped Motion,
which is Henry Joy's Michigan-based film production
company, produces films, music videos, commercials,
corporate videos and still photography.
